CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- The head of Charlotte-based LendingTree died in an accident Sunday, the company announced Monday.
Doug Lebda, the company's chairman and chief executive officer, died in an all-terrain vehicle accident on his family farm. He founded the online financial platform in 1996.
“The Board of Directors and the entire LendingTree management team deeply mourns his passing and extends sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family,” the company said in the annoucement.
