LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is urging consumers to check their freezers for recalled shrimp products that may contain Cesium-137, a manmade radioactive substance.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), no product has tested positive for the radioactive substance in the U.S. marketplace., However, there is a risk that untested contaminated shrimp may have been sold in stores.
