PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The East Valley is bracing for another round of storms after the National Weather Service issued a severe storm warning for parts of Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, and other areas on Monday afternoon. The warning lasts until 1:30 p.m.

The showers and storms are coming from the south and moving northeastward. Heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail are possible.

We have already seen an incredible amount of rain, with nearly two inches of rain at Sky Harbor early Sunday morning, setting a record for the day.

A Flood Watch for Phoenix, Central and Southeastern Arizona is in effect through Monday evening.
