The Erie County Sheriff's Office is bringing a new program to the region for the first time ever.

Starting October 15, the sheriff's office will have all the equipment necessary to provide a mobile license to carry application process.

Erie County Sheriff Chris Campanelli said they plan to do one or two sessions a month.

Those interested will be able to make their payment, submit their information and take their photo all in one place before the license is mailed to them.

The sheriff said the service only costs $20 and will be less of a hassle for county residents who live away from the city.

"I just think it's for simplicity's sake. There's a lot of folks in these areas, like Corry, Union City, Albion, they can't get to the courthouse within working hours, or they have to miss work,
