LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man is suing the city after being the victim of a hit-and-run incident last year, according to a lawsuit.
According to court records, Nathan Hinds filed a lawsuit on Oct. 8 in hopes to receive damages after being hit by a truck while riding an electric scooter at Southwest Sixth and West A streets around 1:20 a.m. in November 2024.
Hinds’ lawsuit alleges that he sustained personal injuries and damages following this accident, including medical expenses totaling to $236,709.05.
Court documents show that Hinds requests the court to enter a judgement against the city for his medical expenses, lost income and earning potential and physical and emotional pain inflicted by the collision.
