WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - The Waterville Opera House recently revealed its plans for the 2026 season.

They will host four productions throughout the year including one world-premiere.

The Opera House is just one of six spots nationwide debuting ‘Unabashedly.’

This will include working with the original playwright leading up to the show.

There’s also a comedy titled ‘The Nerd’ set for January, the musical ‘Once Upon A Mattress’ in the spring, and a family-friendly winter musical yet to be named for the holiday season of 2026.

Staff at the Opera House say it means a lot to be rewarded the showing of a world-premiere and speaks to the shows they put on every year.
