One professional basketball league has announced slam dunk news for fans in Erie.
Basketball Super League Jamestown Jackals are making their new home in Erie, playing at the Hagerty Family Events Center.
The Jackals have played nine years in Jamestown, and owner Kayla Crosby said they have decided to expand their market.
Crosby said their goal is to bring positive role models to the community and believes they can fill a void that has been left since the Erie Bayhawks.
"Our non-profit is focused on the community. We want to provide family-friendly, affordable entertainment, and so we do a lot with bringing youth to the games to perform during halftime, different activities in between quarters, and we also go and do school visits, motivational speeches, school assemblies," Crosby said.
