GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Merrick County Sheriff’s Office has a new four-legged furry friend on staff thanks to donors, including Hornady Manufacturing.
The new service dog, Vedo, is a 1.5-year-old Belgian Malinois, assigned to Deputy Parker.
He was purchased through Deputy Parker’s fundraising efforts and the support of Hornady.
“Hornady is proud to contribute to the purchase of Vedo,” said Vice President, Jason Hornady. “We love helping those who serve and protect our communities here in central Nebraska,” he added.
Vedo is fully certified in apprehension, tracking, narcotics detection, and article searches.
