GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hall County Agricultural Committee is showing appreciation for local farmers through their “Feed the Farmers” events this week, providing free meals to hard-working agricultural producers.
The first event took place Monday at the Aurora Cooperative Grand Island Terminal, where 75 meals were distributed to farmers and agricultural workers.
A second event is scheduled for Thursday at Green Plains Ethanol in Wood River, where another 75 meals will be provided to local producers.
At each location, committee members will hand out boxed lunches to farmers hauling grain and send additional meals back to those working in the field.
