HOUSTON (KIAH) — Two Houston-area teams moved into the top five in Class 6A while other teams are moving up in the latest Texas high school football rankings for Week 8.

Ridge Point and Dickinson each moved up a spot to No. 3 and No. 5, respectively, while Pearland moves to No. 6, putting three area teams in the top 10.

Southlake Carroll and Allen remain at the top of the 6A poll, with Lake Travis at No. 4 and Prosper, Austin Westlake, Duncanville and Dripping Springs rounding out the top 10.

North Shore, the preseason No. 2 who lost its season opener to South Oak Cliff, has moved to No. 12 following a 76-15 win over Goose Creek Memorial. C.E. King moved to No. 15, followed by The Woodlands College Park at No. 16 and Tomball at No. 20.
