Human remains found in Hickman have been identified as a person missing since February.
Hickman Police posted Monday that DNA samples obtained from recently recovered bones in Hickman match the DNA of Nicky Avent.
The remains were discovered on September 14 by a Hickman resident operating an ATV in a rural part of town. The coroner's office conducted a forensic examination, and the medical examiner concluded that there were no signs of foul play.
The Hickman Police Department continues their investigation efforts on reconstructing the events leading up to Avent's disappearance. Anyone with potential information is asked to contact Hickman Police.
