GOLDEN, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado First Judicial District Attorney’s Office said a driver involved in a crash that killed a Golden Police Officer and injured three others pleaded guilty on Monday.
Colorado State Patrol said three Golden Police Officers were working on a crash scene on Highway 58 just before 5 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2024, just east of Washington Avenue on a curved overpass.
That was when State Patrol said a car driven by 44-year-old Stephen Geer barreled onto the scene, crashing into the officers.
The DA said Golden Police Officer Evan Dunn was killed, and one Golden Police Officer and two pedestrians were seriously injured.
According to the DA, Geer was originally charged with five counts, but as a part of the plea agreement, one felony and two misdemeanors were dismissed w
