ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Early voting for municipal and special elections in Georgia starts Tuesday.

In Marietta, there is a 54-year age gap between the two candidates running for mayor.

Steve “Thunder” Tumlin has spent 16 years serving the city and hopes to continue doing so for another term. But 24-year-old Sam Foster said he thinks the city is ready for someone new.

“We need people in office who feel like the system is not working for them because they’re the voices that we need to hear from,” Foster said.

Foster is an IT systems engineer and a graduate of Kennesaw State University. He has never held a political office.
