We are tracking plenty of sunshine this week. Along with sunshine, temperatures will reach above average, near 90 degrees. This warm and calm weather is due to a large area of high pressure dominating our weather. This high will stay in control for the entire work week, even as a weak cold front approaches the ArkLaMiss on Thursday. A stronger cold front begins to sweep across the region on Saturday, bringing rain and thunderstorm chances with it. By Sunday, high pressure begins to take back over, bringing more sunshine and pleasant weather to the region. This will continue into next week. And in terms of the tropics, while Tropical Storm Lorenzo has formed in the Atlantic, it is not a threat to the United States at this time.
