LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — A family-owned meat market that has built a following in smaller Nebraska communities is bringing its locally sourced products to Lincoln.
Buresh Meats, which opened its first storefront in David City in 2019, plans to open a fourth location in the former Fresh N’ Save market near Northwest 48th Street and West Adams in the Airpark area. The business has already expanded to Columbus and Coleridge.
The family-owned operation specializes in a variety of meats but also sells frozen appetizers and cheeses. Co-owner Scott Buresh said the company’s direct purchasing model helps keep prices competitive.
“We buy directly from the packers. So we go and pick up or have delivered right from the slaughtering facilities, whether it be beef, pork, chicken,” Buresh said. “And so
