Siegel Lifelong Learning Campus at Case Western Reserve University will begin a series of courses and lectures, both virtual and in person, about different aspects of Judaism and the Jewish people in October.

Andrew Porwancher, a professor of history from Arizona State University, will give a virtual lecture on the relationship between Theodore Roosevelt and the Jewish community from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

Porwancher, who wrote the book, “American Maccabee: Theodore Roosevelt and the Jews,” will explain the former president’s complicated relationship with the Jewish people, who he had a deep connection with.
