EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A persistent water flow onto West Mill Road in Evansville near Stringtown Elementary School has some area residents concerned about safety.
A 14 News crew went to the scene and found water appeared to be coming up through a juncture between old and new pavement between the entrance and exit roads to the school just down the hill from the Stringtown Road intersection.
Residents say if there’s a cold night and the water freezes, it could become a problem.
“When the school lets out at 3:00, it’s going to be a mess because the ice, it’ll be ice and and people coming at a high speed, they could go hit that ice and it could be an accident,” Melinda McCandless said. “And then you got the school buses, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
