LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A powerful display of hope, remembrance, and resilience will take place Sunday, Oct. 19 at Lynn Family Stadium as roughly 3,500 people are expected to participate in the annual Louisville Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
The event, which raises funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, has outgrown its previous home at Louisville Slugger Field.
Organizers said the move to Lynn Family Stadium marks a new chapter as the walk continues to grow in size and impact.
For Louisville native Melanie Sparks, this year’s walk is deeply personal.
Both her father, Dennis Miller, and her late stepmother, Louise, battled dementia—a journey she describes as heartbreaking.
“My hope is that other families don't have to go through this disease. It's hard, it hurts and it’
