Two men have been charged after a wild car chase on the Gold Coast involving a police helicopter and at least one stolen vehicle.

The incident occurred on Monday, about 11.10am when officers began tracking a Skoda Octavia which allegedly displayed false numberplates.

The pursuit began at Dreamworld Parkway in Coomera and and ended on the Pacific Motorway to Robina, at a shopping centre carpark.

The vehicle was allegedly stolen from a Commodore Drive residence in Surfers Paradise on August 23.

"With assistance from POLAIR, officers tracked the vehicle for a period before Tyre Deflation Devices (TDD) were successfully deployed twice in Upper Coomera," Queensland Police said in a statement.
