Juneau Schools Superintendent Resigns

The Superintendent of the Juneau School District has just announced he's resigning. Frank Hauser has been superintendent of the Juneau School District since 2023. In a message sent out to families and staff, he said: "After several years of long days, late nights, and weekends working, I have decided it’s time to make a change." His resignation will be effective June 30, 2026.

Iditarod Elementary Hosts Drill

Lots of emergency personnel were at Iditarod Elementary in Wasilla, but it was just a drill. We told you last week about the mass casualty training that was planned for Saturday. Alaska State Troopers, the American Red Cross, and the Mat-Su Borough School District were among those who took part, along with police from both Palmer & Wasilla.
