LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been reunited with their families following the signing of a peace deal by President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza.

The hostages, including soldiers, fathers, and sons, were released by Hamas as part of a new ceasefire agreement aimed at ending two years of conflict. Families did not know about the whereabouts of the hostages for two years, unsure if they were alive or dead.

The release of the 20 remaining living hostages in Gaza occurred on Monday, coinciding with the Jewish holiday of Sh'mini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, marking a significant day for the Jewish community.
