ST. PAUL, Minn. (GRAY) – On Wednesday, a federal government shutdown will enter its third week, as congressional Republicans and Democrats continue to place blame on each other for failing to reconcile differences on a continuing resolution.

Monday, Rep. Emma Greeman (DFL-Minneapolis) and Sen. Zaynab Mohamed (DFL-Minneapolis) urged Republicans to give in to Democrats’ demands to extend existing subsidies for healthcare under the Affordable Care Act.

“The actions of Trump and his allies have pushed us to another shutdown, one that’s hurting working families, our businesses, and now even keeping our airports from running,” said Mohamed.
