COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan is preparing for a possible campaign run for governor but has not yet made a final decision about entering the race.

Ryan’s spokesperson, Dennis Willard, told 10TV that the longtime Democratic congressman has instructed his inner circle to get ready for a campaign, but he hasn’t officially committed.

“He’s closer to a decision. If the decision is yes, he wants to be prepared to go,” Willard said.

Ryan recently hinted at political plans on social media, posting that he had dinner with political strategists and writing, “Lots of fun ahead.”
