(KRON) — The National Weather Service has issued flood advisories Monday for San Francisco, northwestern San Mateo County, southwestern Alameda, central Contra Costa County southeastern Marin, southeastern Napa and southeastern Sonoma.

“Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected,” the NWS flood advisory states.

Flooding could affect rush-hour traffic: • The advisory for San Francisco, San Mateo County remains in effect until 6:45 p.m. • The advisory for southwestern Alameda and central Contra Costa counties is in effect until 7:30 p.m. • The advisory for southeastern Marin, southeastern Napa and southeastern Sonoma are in effect until 6:30 p.m.
