A 69-year-old Quinte West man is dead following a single-vehicle collision on the Loyalist Parkway in Prince Edward County. Article content

Officers from the Prince Edward County OPP detachment were called to the scene on Loyalist Parkway (Highway 33) at about 8:15 a.m. Monday. Article content Article content

According to police, an eastbound pickup truck had left the road and hit some trees. The driver, the lone occupant, managed to exit the vehicle after the crash, police said, but first responders found him close to the truck. He was rushed to hospital absent of vital signs and was pronounced dead.
