A series of fires set inside a Westlake apartment building prompted an arson investigation Monday.

The fire was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of West Ocean View Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Fire crews doused the flames in less than a half-hour, and no injuries were reported.

According to the LAFD, multiple fires had been set within the building, so an arson unit was called to investigate the blaze.
