CLEVELAND — Saint Ignatius High School has responded to claims from a prominent social media influencer that it refused to allow conservative group Turning Point USA to open a chapter on campus.

In a press release, the Cleveland Jesuit prep school called the reports, amplified by the popular X account Libs of TikTok, "inaccurate" and "misinformation," but did confirm that a student approached the school about a potential TPUSA campus group several weeks ago.

Saint Ignatius said the student had been attending meetings of the school's existing conservative group, the Informed Ignatians Conservative Caucus, and was told by its moderator that the 20-year-old student group "has evolved over the years to integrate and adapt to conservative values."
