SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Monday night, a Siouxland-based non-profit held its annual event, all in an effort to help orphans thousands of miles away.
That Sing for Africa event brought local choirs and singers together to fundraise money for Project Rehema Ministries .
That non-profit organization cares for over 130 orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania.
They provide aid through food distributions, help to build houses, solar panels, water tanks, assistance with school fees, school supplies, assistance with medical care and supply beds.
This is the 16th year of the fundraiser with the non-profit helping orphans for 18 years.
