GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is closely monitoring all programs and services impacted by the federal shutdown and the state’s WIC and FoodShare programs that provide critical nutrition assistance to our communities, including moms, babies, families, and older adults.
The state’s WIC and FoodShare received contingency and reallocation funds from the Federal Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) to pay for October WIC benefits.
Wisconsin’s WIC and FoodShare programs are fully funded through October. This means food benefits are still available for WIC participants and FoodShare members to use throughout October.
