The Komets made a series of roster moves Monday, including a series of trades to finish out their roster before their season opener on Friday against the Indy Fuel.

Defenseman Jake Willets was traded away to the Reading Royals and forward Max Patterson was sent to the Iowa Heartlanders, both for future considerations.

To fill their spots, the Komets acquired defenseman Ian Pierce from the Adirondack Thunder. Pierce made his pro debut with the Thunder last season with six points in six games. Prior to that, Pierce spent four seasons at Dartmouth University.

The Komets also traded for defenseman Reece Harsch from the Idaho Steelheads. In 52 games with Idaho last season, Harsch had five goals and 11 assists.

The team also cut goaltender Dylan Ernst from his tryout contract, leaving Connor
