DETROIT — Tigers president Scott Harris knew the questions were coming and he didn’t dismiss them or duck them.
But he also made sure the accomplishments made by the team and the organization were recognized along with the disappointing September slide and the heartbreaking finish in the American League Division Series.
“Anytime you get to the playoffs and fail to win a World Series, it leaves a really bitter taste in your mouth and I very much feel that,” Harris said at the Tigers’ season-ending press conference Monday. “And I expect us to feel that for a while.
“I also expect that bitter taste to drive us this offseason, to drive the players individually to make gains and to drive us as a group to make sure we can build off some of the good things that happened.”
