One of Europe's largest and oldest fair s is preparing to open its doors in the coming days. Ilkeston Charter Fair will begin on Wednesday, October 15, and bring rides and traditional shows to thousands of visitors.
The fair, which has seen its opening hours extended in 2025 , dates back to 1252, when King Henry III first granted the Charter.
