COLUMBIA, S.C. — A major mixed-use development near Columbia’s BullStreet District is one step closer to breaking ground. Developers say the project, which will bring new housing and business opportunities to the downtown area, could begin construction as soon as 2026.
The proposed 483,106 square foot development will feature 288 apartment units, primarily one-bedroom apartments with some two- and three-bedroom options. The complex will also include 376 parking space in a parking building. The development will be located by the intersection of Bull Street and Elmwood Avenue — a busy gateway into downtown Columbia.
Astral Development and Steady Capital are leading the project, which they say is designed to “reinvigorate” the area.
