KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The East Tennessee History Center is inviting members of the public to dive deep into their family history as part of a three-day genealogy conference next month.

The inaugural East Tennessee Roots and Resources conference will bring together genealogists, historians, researchers, and regional partners to explore the region's rich historical roots from November 7-9.

Attendees will enjoy personalized research opportunities with access to the Calvin M. McClung Historical Collection and Knox County Archives as well as expert-led lectures and behind-the-scenes tours of the East Tennessee History Center.

It is free and open to the public, but pre-registration on www.knoxcountylibrary.org/etrr is required for Saturday's sessions. Retired State Librarian and Archivist
