Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon is doubling down on the rumours that President Donald Trump might try and finagle his way into a third presidential term in 2028.

While appearing on the “ Batya! ” segment for NewsNation on Saturday, host Batya Ungar-Sargon asked Bannon if the 22nd Amendment, which states no person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice, could be a “barrier” for Trump’s plans to run again .

“I fully intend to see President Trump on the ballot in 2028 and to return to office, to continue the great run he’s had as the 47th president,” Bannon responded.
