The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade is coming up on Saturday, November 22nd. The theme of this year's parade is "It's Christmastime in the city" and participants are encouraged to decorate their floats and entries around that specific Yuletide theme.

GRAND MARSHAL AARON KIZER

Themes are a longtime tradition of the parade. Here's another- the naming of the Grand Marshal. This year's choice truly needs no introduction.

In the last decade or so, Aaron Kizer has established himself as one of the most recognizable talents in our area. In fact, his skill was on full display just a couple of weeks ago during Owensboro's brand new Illuminate festival. Aaron designed a 'blacklight' mural that now resides permanently near the Owensboro Riverfront. It's gorgeous enough during the day.
