NORMAN — OU football struggled in a 23-6 loss to Texas on Saturday at Cotton Bowl Stadium.

Most of the Sooners ' issues against the Longhorns came offensively. Quarterback John Mateer struggled in his return to the field after undergoing hand surgery, throwing three interceptions. OU also rushed for only 48 yards.

Now, head coach Brent Venables will try to help his team turn the page as they hit the road for their second true road game of the season against Shane Beamer's South Carolina Gamecocks.
