Ellen F. Palmieri Mechanicville - Ellen F. Palmieri, 84, longtime resident of South Street, died peacefully at Collar City Rehabilitation Center on October 10, 2025, after a long illness. Born in Sharon, CT, daughter of the late William and Cecilia Pohl Sheffer, she was a graduate of Stillwater High School.

Ellen worked for many years at the former Grand Union in Waterford, retiring when the company closed.
