Horrific details of how a man was allegedly set on fire by a teenager in regional NSW, suffering burns to 32 per cent of his body, have been revealed in court.
About 6pm on Monday, a 19-year-old man was approached by a man and two women on Cowper Street in Coonabarabran.
Police allege one of the members in the group poured a liquid onto the man before he caught alight.
Passers-by extinguished the fire and the man was airlifted to Concord Hospital.
Detectives arrested 45-year-old Mavis Chatfield, 19-year-old Aaron Valette, and a 17-year-old girl at a nearby property.
Mr Valette was charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent and affray, while Ms Chatfield was also charged with affray.
Ms Chatfield did not appear in court when her matter was briefly mentioned on Tuesd
