An allegedly armed man who sparked a three-hour-long lockdown of a large park in Brisbane has been arrested.
Queensland police were called to the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens about 1:30pm following reports of a man sitting on a bench holding what they described as an "edged weapon".
Police spent several hours negotiating with the man before he was taken into custody and transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The park was closed to the public, with people asked to avoid the area, and a large section was cordoned off while negotiations took place.
Paramedics were also on the scene.
The City Botanic Gardens were reopened to the public about 5pm, after the man was taken into custody.
Police said their investigations were ongoing.
