EL CENTRO — The El Centro Police Department (ECPD) announced today that it is launching focused traffic safety operations throughout October—National Pedestrian Safety Month—to protect people walking on local roadways.

The ECPD is urging drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and be hyper-vigilant for pedestrians, especially near schools and in residential neighborhoods.
