CALEXICO — The Calexico City Council is poised to formally oppose California Proposition 50, a ballot measure that seeks to move the authority for drawing Congressional district lines from the independent California Citizens Redistricting Commission (CCRC) back to the State Legislature.

During its regular meeting on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Council is scheduled to consider adopting a resolution—listed on the consent agenda—that would officially register the city's opposition to Proposition 50 and reaffirm support for the CCRC.
