UNION COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Two people are facing criminal charges after deputies said they lit a dog on fire.

According to reports from the Union County Sheriff's Office, at around 10:14 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to a home on Linersville Road for a report of a dog that had been set on fire.

Deputies later arrested Cassidi Bailey Hyatt, 26 and Jada Dannielle Rogers, 28 on charges of ill treatment of animals and torture. According to warrants, the women are accused of pouring gasoline on a dog and then lighting it on fire while it was still alive.

They were booked into the Union County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond each.
