Georgia among the states most affected by phone scams this year

Georgia has been named one of the states most heavily targeted by phone and mobile scams in 2025, according to a new report by Nomad.

The ranking, based on federal data collected between January and June, places Georgia No. 3 in the nation for scam activity and financial losses.

What is Georgia's mobile scam rate?

With a population of just over 11.2 million, Georgia logged 1,594 mobile and phone scam reports in the first half of 2025. That equates to 14.11 reports per 100,000 residents, one of the highest rates in the country.
