SRINAGAR : Mild tremors were felt in Leh this morning after a low-intensity earthquake struck the region. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the quake measured 4.5 on the Richter scale and originated at a depth of 10 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface. Officials said the tremor was brief but noticeable across several parts of Leh and adjoining areas. Panic-stricken locals rushed out of their homes and workplaces as buildings shook lightly for a few seconds.
