Jonathan Ross has admitted he "didn't enjoy" his time on The Celebrity Traitors.

The talk show host was chosen to be a Traitor in the first series of a celebrity version of the popular BBC show. While he appeared to relish his role in the early episodes, Ross revealed on his weekly podcast Reel Talk that the deception took its toll.

When asked if he liked appearing on the show, the 64-year-old TV star replied: "(No). I'm a Traitor, that's why. I found the lying really wearing, it left me feeling increasingly uncomfortable."

He continued: "We were lying all the time, because you're sharing a car in with people in the morning, and even though we're not supposed to be talking about the game but obviously some people do, so you're lying then."

Ross was among 19 celebrities who travelled to the Scottish Highlands earlier this year to film the show.

He was joined by stars including Clare Balding, Tom Daley and Stephen Fry, with singer Paloma Faith the first Faithful to be 'murdered' by the Traitors after Alan Carr sealed her fate as he carried out the task in plain sight.

Ross continued to talk about his time on the show and admitted the experience was so "uncomfortable" that he has advised fellow famous pals not to sign up in the future.

He revealed: "I know they're already planning a second celebrity version. I know because I've had two celebrity friends of mine call me and say, 'I've been approached - is it good to do, is it bad to do?' So I'm giving them the benefit of my experience, which was I didn't enjoy it."

The Celebrity Traitors, presented by Claudia Winkleman, continues tomorrow evening.
