A father who travelled to Turkey for a holiday and sustained a severe head injury following a scooter crash has tragically passed away.

Earlier this month, the family of John Kearney were instructed to journey over 2,500 miles to İçmeler, in Marmaris, to bid farewell to the 64 year old after he was involved in a serious road accident.

On the evening of Tuesday, 30 September, John was returning to his hotel when he fell from the rental scooter he was riding. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he spent nearly two weeks battling for his life.
