Homes built on former garage sites across Coventry have been completed. Citizen, with support from Coventry City Council and Homes England, has built 19 homes across eight garage sites in the city.

They include Bell Green, Whoberley, Stoke Aldermoor, Holbrooks , and Cheylesmore. Salma Mbarouk is one of the customers who has moved into the homes with her husband and two children.

She said: "I love my house so much, it’s nice and cosy and it’s warm even with the heating off. I can’t fault it. It’s beautiful and amazingly done, my kids love it, and it’s their safe place.

"Our previous house was too small, and I was sharing a room with my 10-year-old daughter and this is the first time she has been able to sleep in her own room, she loves having her own space. The garden and the kitch
