STODDARD COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A teenager was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Stoddard County on Monday afternoon, October 13.

The crash involved a pickup truck and a semi.

It happened around 3:44 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 60 and County Road 717.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old Dexter boy was driving a Ford F150 and failed to yield to a semi driven by a Jackson, Mo., man.

MSHP said the boy was not hurt, but his passenger, a 16-year-old Dexter girl, was thrown from the pickup and suffered serious injuries.

She was taken to a Cape Girardeau hospital for treatment.

The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries. A private vehicle took him to a Sikeston hospital for treatment.
