A hiker from Massachusetts was rescued from a New Hampshire trail on Monday after falling and injuring her leg, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
The hiker, a 53-year-old woman from Belmont, was hiking on the Basin Cascade Trail in Lincoln, New Hampshire on Monday afternoon when she slipped and hurt her leg, officials said. She was unable to walk due to the injury.

Volunteers from the PEMI Valley Search and Rescue Team and conservation officers were able to reach the woman and carry her down the trail. She was put in an ambulance and taken to a local hospital to be treated.
